The Youth Initiative for Human Rights held a training titled “Research and Documentation of Facts about the War Past” on July 14-16. The training was organised within the project “No Impunity for the Past”, supported by the EU Delegation to Montenegro and co-funded by the Ministry of Public Administration.

On the first day of the training, the lecturers were our colleagues from the partner organisation ‘Documenta’ from Zagreb, who talked about the challenges of archiving and documenting in the institutional and non-institutional environment, with emphasis on the protection of human rights. They also made an introduction to the basic concepts of archiving with emphasis on the issue of authenticity of sources and presentation of evidence in criminal proceedings.

The second day of the training was opened by a TV Vijesti journalist and author of the show ‘Without Borders’, Sead Sadiković, who showed his movie about Bukovica, followed by a discussion.
