‘Bring Your Own History’ Conference represents a formal start of the youth-led ’Past Continues’ project that tends to facilitate dialogue of youth from the region and creation of shared narratives about some of the most contested issues from the recent history of post-Yugoslav societies.
Between September 13 and 16, young people from Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro met in Vukovar within Youth Initiative for Human Rights’ regional exchange programme implemented with support of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, Europe House Vukovar, French Institute in Croatia and Italian Cultural Institute from Zagreb.
Regional Network of the Youth Initiative for Human Rights with its offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia, is dedicated to the establishment of a mechanism for interethnic and cross-border youth exchanges in the Western Balkans. YIHR believes that such a mechanism should be established and funded by the governments of Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo, Macedonia and Albania.
