Meeting of Croatian and Serbian Presidents Contributed to Mutual Respect, Dialogue and Calming Down of Tensions

The Youth Initiative for Human Rights commends constructive dialogue between the highest state officials of Croatia and Serbia, and particularly the announcement of talks about bilateral agreement on criminal prosecution and punishment of war crimes. In the upcoming period, YIHR will monitor the process of adoption of the agreement and, in order to support the dialogue as a whole, it will soon present the proposal of a public policy with defined open issues and solutions for them.

Youth Initiative for Human Rights Kosovo (YIHR Kosovo) and Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR Serbia) strongly condemn the commemoration of the war criminal Haradin Bala at the Kosovo Parliament, the only KLA member convicted for war crimes at ICTY as well as the decision of the Serbian authorities to involve Vinko Pandurevic, convicted of war crimes committed in July 1995 in Srebrenica, in the internal dialogue on Kosovo.
