A new space intended for the use by civil society organisations, informal citizen initiatives and others free of charge – YIHR.hub at 8a Đorđićeva Street in Zagreb was officially launched on November 28. This was a double celebration: together with the hub opening, we celebrated the 11th birthday of the Youth Initiative for Human Rights.

The French National Consultative Commission on Human Rights (CNCDH) awarded on December 10 the French Republic’s Liberty, Equality, Fraternity Human Rights Prize to the Youth Initiative for Human Rights from Croatia, a non-governmental organisation with whom the French Embassy to Zagreb has been closely cooperating for years.

The Youth Initiative for Human Rights strongly condemns a new proposal of the Ministry of Public Administration for amending the Law on Decorations and Awards of the Republic of Croatia, envisaging the establishment of a new high state decoration named after Franjo Tuđman (Grand Order of the President of the Republic Franjo Tuđman with Sash and Morning Star).
